Spirituals is a music genre that originates from the US and created by the African American. It is originally a song that has Christian values in it while describing how much people suffer from slavery.

I think that you have done a good job at this blog post Johanna. I really like how you have explained what spirituals are and then also explained how people used them. Maybe next time you could put a link to one or two of the song and maybe some pictures. Everything else was good keep up the great work.
