Throughout history, technology has been the main change. From movable technology, television, to the internet, technology has overall been embraced and incorporated into our daily lives. The way we live now is incredibly different to the past generations and it will continue to make changes. Our main focus to talk about in this lawyer paragraph is the vast improvement of Artificial intelligence (AI), cars and the futuristic train ¨Maglev¨.
What is Artificial/robot intelligence you might ask. It's a general term that is commonly used for a computer to replicate intelligent behaviour. This works by programming the robot to gather relevant information about a situation through sensors (or human input) by the application of algorithms built into a dynamic computing environment.
Self-driving cars are a great example of this. For a long time people have been dreaming about self driving cars but it wasn't until James L. Adams invented the ‘Stanford cart’, a vehicle that anyone really deemed it ‘autonomous’. Adams’s original intent was to use the Stanford cart to back up his research on the problem of controlling a remote vehicle using video information. It's a shame that he isn't around to see how far his research came to be.
It is now the year 2020 and self driving cars have come a long way.
It is a completely programmed machine that works automatically while recognising its surroundings and environmental situations. It is not only safe but also reliable.
Siri, another example of AI. Basically everyone is familiar with this. It is a pseudo-intelligent programmed into almost every apple product to assist you in many things such as give us directions to your destination, add events to our calendars, send messages and give out helpful information when we need it.
Artificial intelligence is increasing all around the world. It was once $700 billion but by the time 2022 hits, it is expected to reach up to $3.2 trillion!
Obviously,It’s no secret that the world we now live in relies on technology for everything and it makes life so much more easier to live in. Artificial/Robotic intelligence are both powerful markets but the combination of these two types of technologies could impact our lives for the better or worse.
